In the Super Eight Stages, thegroups of the Twenty20 World Cup 2010 will be made up of the following teams in the table below. To know more Checkout the T20 World Cup 2010 schedule and fixtures.
Dhoni has since then only grown from strength to strength; the latest IPL win was only another feather in MSD’s cap. This time too the Indian team for the T20 World Cup is being captained by MS Dhoni. Here is a complete list of the India Team that will take part in the tournament that begins on 30th April.
Pakistan Team
Pakistan have been placed in Group A along with Bangladesh and Australia.
Here is the complete list of the 15 cricket players who will represent Pakistan in this apex Twenty20 tournament.
Shahid Afridi (Captain) Kamran Akmal (Wicket Keeper) Mohammad Sami Khalid Latif Misbah-ul-Haq Fawad Alam Umar Akmal Abdul Razzaq Abdur Rehman Hammad Azam Salman Butt Mohammad Hafeez Mohammad Asif Mohammad Aamer Saeed Ajmal
Australia Team
Heavily fancied to win in England last summer (when was the last time Australia didn't arrive at a tournament as one of the favourites?), Ricky Ponting's side suffered an embarrassing early exit.
Beaten emphatically by both the West Indies and Sri Lanka, the Aussies never even managed to make it out of Group C and into the Super Eights - the very least they would have hoped for before a ball had been bowled.Ponting is no longer in charge of the side now, so it is now up to new skipper Michael Clarke to try and right the wrongs of last time around.
South Africa TEAM
South Africa is set for another assault on the ICC World Twenty20 title in the West Indies from 30 April. Graeme Smith leads a settled squad that includes just one new cap and the recall of a long-time absentee.
Juan "Rusty" Theron of the Warriors and Rory Kleinveldt of the Cape Cobras have played themselves into the team, with both benefitting from the absence of Wayne Parnell, who has been out of action since injuring a groin while preparing for the Indian Premier League (IPL).Theron has recently been plying his trade for the Kings Eleven Punjab in the IPL, which means he will be well prepared for the ICC World Twenty20, although his hope will surely be for pitches that offer the batsmen a little more than the pitches in India which heavily favoured the batsmen.
England Team
Having started the juggernaut of the shortest form of the game with the Twenty20 Cup, England has struggled to turn domestic knowledge into international success.
England may have given Twenty20 to the world but whether they've given themselves the best chance of winning the World Twenty20 is another point entirely.
The 15-man squad they have taken with them to the Caribbean shows six changes from the party that contested the last World Twenty20 in England under a year ago.
Ever since Marcus Trescothick's personal problems forced his retirement from international cricket, England have struggled to find a successful hard-hitting batsman at the top of the order in limited overs cricket with Test skipper Andrew Strauss ruling himself out of Twenty20.
New Zealand TEAM
Here is the complete list of the 15 cricket players who will represent New Zealand in this apex Twenty20 tournament.
Daniel Vettori (Captain) Gareth Hopkins (Wicketkeeper) Brendon McCullum Martin Guptill Shane Bond Ian Butler Nathan McCullum Kyle Mills Rob Nicol Jacob Oram Aaron Redmond Jesse Ryder Tim Southee Scott Styris Ross Taylor .
Hardly an international tournament goes by without New Zealand being labelled a dark horse and, to be honest, they never seem to disappoint.
Sri Lankan TEAM
Sri Lanka have won just one of their last five Twenty20 internationals since the ICC World Twenty20 last June, but such form is irrelevant when it comes to a competition on the international stage.
Last year's finalists have traditionally thrived in major ICC tournaments and this year Twenty20 showpiece will be no different, with Sri Lanka once again appearing to have all the right ingredients to play a major part in the Caribbean.
The innovation of their batting ranks and the variation and deception of the Sri Lankan bowlers are perfectly suited to the twenty-over format. Add-in a good deal of experience and a harmonious team atmosphere, and you've got yourself a well balanced outfit.
West Indies TEAM
Zimbabwe have played very little Twenty20 cricket, winning three of their eight total matches. Following a dark time for Zimbabwe cricket under the rule of President Robert Mugabe, Zimbabwe has only now began to emerge from this wilderness, and back into the international arena.
In late February and early March the Zimbabwe team showed that they do have the capability to match up with other test nations, defeating West Indies in a Twenty20 and ODI match. On these two occasions it was skillful, economical bowling that guided Zimbabwe's way to victory.
Zimbabwe face a difficult grouping, but should they succeed they will feel that they have accomplished more than even the eventual winners will.
Ireland Team
Ireland have named a full-strength squad for the World Twenty20 in West Indies with Boyd Rankin, the tall pace bowler, fit again after a foot injury to take his place in the 15-man party led by William Porterfield.
Ireland are grouped with England and West Indies during the first phase of the tournament and will be aiming to repeat their success from the 2009 event when they reached the Super Eights. With England having an indifferent Twenty20 record and the hosts in the midst of rebuilding Ireland shouldn't be underestimated.
Squad William Porterfield (capt), Peter Connell, Alex Cusack, George Dockrell, Trent Johnston, Nigel Jones, Gary Kidd, John Mooney, Kevin O'Brien, Niall O'Brien, Boyd Rankin, Paul Stirling, Andrew White, Gary Wilson
Afghanistan Team
Afghanistan may have a tough time in the World Twenty20, being slotted in the same group as former champions India, and South Africa, but their coach Kabir Khan, a former Pakistan international, is confident of upsetting the formbook.
"We are excited about facing India. We have been working hard and we want to give them a big fight. We will make it hard for them and hope to make an upset. We are not just going there just to participate," Kabir told AFP. Afghanistan made the cut for the tournament by winning the qualifying tournament in the United Arab Emirates. They begin their campaign against India in St. Lucia on May 1 and then meet South Africa in Barbados on May 5.
Total 12 teams
The ICC has also announced top two ranked teams in each group and given them a number 1 and 2 respectively. They will retain this number irrespective of whether they finish first or second in the group.
Group F –A2, B1, C2, and D1

Breaking News:They invented cricket, they created the ICC. But it took them years to win any ICC World Cup. England finally did it. They beat Australia by 7 wickets to win the ICC Twenty20 World Cup 2010.
A dream came true for England. They have been waiting for it to happen for years. The magic moment came tonight at Kensington Oval, Bridgetown, Barbados.
Earlier, England had played the final of ICC World Cup (ODI) thrice and once in the ICC Champions Trophy final. But the title always eluded them, as they lost in all finals.
The match between England and Australia was termed as a clash of titans. But England had something else in mind. They dominated the proceedings from the very beginning and made it a one-sided affair.
England won the toss and elected to field first. The bowlers did their job and Australia slumped to 8/3 at one stage. Cameron White, David Hussey and Michael Clarke batted sensibly help Australia reach a respectable total.
Australia finished at 147/6 in 20 overs. David Hussey was the top scorer with 59, while White made 30. Michael Clarke contributed 27. For England, Ryan Sidebottom took 2 wickets.
Chasing a victory target of 148, England batsmen played their part and reached the target 148 in 17 overs. They lost just 3 wickets in the process.
Craig Kieswetter was the top scorer with 63, while Kevin Pietersen made 47. Craig Kieswetter was declared "Man of the Match". Kevin Pietersen, who became a father recently, was adjudged "Man of the Series".

Bangladesh Team
Sstatistically speaking Bangladesh is the worst of the qualified teams in the Twenty20 arena, ranking below even Afghanistan and Ireland. The weakness in the youngest Test nation's team is its batting.
Bangladesh's bowling has grown in maturity over recent years - captain Shakib Al Hasan is rated the second best ODI bowler in the world and Abdur Razzak is at a respectable 20.
